We work on reconnecting young people with their rural heritage.
We’re a team of 6 nonprofits from Spain, France, Romania, Finland and Lithuania. What are we up to?
We strongly believe that a strong Europe is one that honors its past while working for a sustainable future. But with the depopulation of the rural areas in many parts of Europe and young people moving out towards urban areas, our rich heritage is at risk. So what can we do?
We believe in 3 main approaches:
Integenerational dialogue;
Non-formal education methods (eg. Human libraries);
Bridging traditions with digitalisation;
Let’s discover what are we planning to do!
What are we working on?
Building a training methodology for supporting heritage NGOs to better engage young people from rural areas
Crafting a guide to organise integenerational human libraries in rural areas
Hosting one European training course for 30 young people from 5 rural communities who want to organise human library activities
Supporting young people from 5 European rural communities to organise intergenerational human library activities
Launching a digital map of the heritage from the supported communities and collecting stories of heritage sustainability
What can you do?
We’ll be updating this section as the project advances, so stay tuned!
